Beatbattle

And here we are with the new RELEASE event. Well the first part of it at least.

On February 26th we’ll do another RELEASE event at Kriekelaar in Schaarbeek. Not entirely following the same concept we’ve used the 3 previous editions but rather a day full of workshops, lectures, demonstrations and expos which we’ll end with a beatbattle and some concerts by foreign acts. But more details about that soon enough.

The reason we bring this up well in advance is the beatbattle. For which we have started the pre-selection this weekend. From now on until the 23rd of January 2011 we’ll give you the chance to participate by sending us a beat inspired by a sample we’ve put online. The best 8 entries will have to make a new beat which they’ll have to present on stage at the event. Lots of prizes (like an Ableton 8 software package and more) and eternal fame are to be won.
