Lots of new labels releasing old school sounding House with a twist these days. We told you about My Love Is Underground and Local Talk already but L.I.E.S. (aka Long Island Electrical Systems) is another one you might want to keep an eye (or is it hear) on. They have been releasing, since 2010, really deep House music that’s firmly rooted in the sonic grounds discovered by Larry Heard. Chicago deepness for the lovers of all things Mr. Fingers, Virgo and alike. But without copying it like so many other do these days. With some cats on board you might have seen before like Steve Summers / Malvoeaux (also known as Rhythm Based Lovers), Legowelt or Marcos Cabral (Runaway). Absolutely recommended.
