OUR PARTY

A lot of people have been asking us when the next edition of OUR PARTY is planned. Which means a lot to us as this proves we’ve conquered a place in some people’s hearts. Because we couldn’t go on at our former home we had to search for a new venue and that quest is still going on.* Meanwhile we felt we should do something to fulfil a need both you and us feel. A need to dance to soulful music with a twist, music you can hardly hear anywhere else. In an atmosphere not unlike that at a party at someone’s place, aka a house party as it used to be known before Chicago invented that genre to confuse things.

On December 14th we’ll do just that. A small get together provided of music by our regular crew of DJs (Onda Sonora, Nick Blow, Dieter, Jonathan) in a cosy little basement near the canal, not too far from the city centre, called Chez Jacques.

As the place is far smaller than our previous ones we do urge you to come early so you’ll get in. We will not only provide you with a supreme selection of music but also with a choice of drinks that will match that standard. And a few other bits and bops to make it extra special.

Entrance fee will be a mere 5€ .

In the meantime we keep on looking for a new spot where we can go all out and invite guests to join us behind the turntables.

*Problem was / is that our previous lovely home, BRONKS, has decided to stop doing parties (not only ours) for an indefinite period of time to sort out the hindrance these events were causing for certain neighbours. We’ve always done our utter best to prevent nuisance but it came to a situation that made this decision the only reasonable. Not blaming anybody here. Laws have been made to sort out problems such as this and we found ourselves narrowly on the receiving end of it all. We do find it a shame to leave not only a great and well-equipped venue but also a very supportive, helpful and unbelievable sympha crew.
