Onda Sonora Picks Week 9.
A few of our favourites released this year. No reissues but new stuff. More next week.
Brassfoot – She Said Her Name Was Sugarlips – Bio Rhythm
Lovely deep and edgy house. Inspired and fresh the way we like it and if more in that genre would show the same spirit we would still buy loads of it. Sadly conformism is the norm and heaps of bullshit that will go straight to the cheap bins has been unleashed onto the world.
DJ Rashad & DJ Spinn – Oh God – Teklife
Giorgio Moroder sampling footwork ditty. One of his/their best. Has been on constant repeat throughout the year.
Jameszoo – Flu feat. Arthur Verocai – Brainfeeder
One of the best surprises of the year. We already liked what he was doing but we love him for this album and the live show that followed it.
FYI Chris – Xenomorph – Lionoil
Know little more about this London based duo than what we just shared and the fact we love this track. Simple and effective house.
Dub Dynasty – Kut – ZamZam
A label we follow closely and which has released more than a few gems this year. Deep, digital dub the way like it.
