The crowdfunding / growfunding campaign we’ve initiated with a few friends to get more trees planted on private properties is currently going into its final week, something we’ll celebrate with a party on Friday at Les Brasseurs. Hopefuly we can dance to reaching our goal. On tree-themed gems like this one.

Not exactly a tree you’ll find often in Brussels but a unmistakenly funky one when Earth, Wind & Fire make it grow.

Eleven Pond – Watching Trees – Angular
A new wave band from New York with an infectious song about trees that regularly makes it to our selection. Incredible bass line.

William Onyeabor – Good Name – Luaka Bop
Ever since we got our hands on an afordable copy this has been an Onda Sonora stable. Thanks to Luaka Bop. Still sounds mighty fresh after all those years and so left of everything it perfectly fits our sets.

Can – Vitamin C – Harvest
One to remember Jaki Liebezeit who died on Sunday. A classic with the man on percussion. One we love to play as so much other songs the man contributed to.
